Default Another new one :)

Hi guys, my name is Niek and I'm from the netherlands.

A while ago I got my interest in laser pointers from another forum. I ordered a DealExtreme True 30mW laser almost right away.

I'm planning on building my own lasers with laserdiodes from dvd/cd readers and stuffs, so I'll be hoping I can get my hopes up here. *

I already lurked around here a bit, but I thought it was better to just create an account here.

You guys 'll see my posts somewhere around.

Regards, Niek

Welcome mate! Just so you know... the only type of drive with a useful diode is a DVD burner. DVD readers, CD readers / burners have useless diodes.

Ah yes, it makes sense, because burners need much more power.
